How to link my Ethernet & WLAN adapters?

Hello.
I have a PC running Windows 7 Professional which has an Ethernet-wired internet connection that I use.
If I put an Alfa AWUS036H-V5 WLAN card into the machine as well, is it possible to link the two adapters in some way - so that I can use another WLAN-enabled laptop to connect to the internet via the Alfa card and through my Ethernet connection?
Thanks for your help.
Tim.

Yes either by bridging the connections or via internet connection sharing and flipping the wireless side to ad-hoc. However it is better to just buy a $40 access point. The reason is that you need to reconfigure it every time you want to use the wireless for connecting via wireless. If this is a work PC, you also liable to have your IT team trying to convince your boss that you need to be executed as it leaves a huge security hole open and in many cases can even cause network loops.

What I'm hearing is you have a laptop with ethernet and wifi and have internet to it via the ethernet (big phone jack) and broadcast it via the wireless? If so you can use ICS (internet connection sharing) to do the trick

I agree with this, but nowhere did OP say it was a work machine. If it is, ask IT for help lest they beat you to a quivering pulp 🙂

I know, that is why I said "If". Where I am from, everyone seems to think their work laptop is their personal property.... =D

If you need to buy a Wireless card it kind of "Silly" not spend another few more $$ and do it the right way.

If your connetio coming from a Modem then a Wireless Router would add security and more stale connection.

If your connection comes from a LAN, then configure the Wireless Router this way.

They are both home computers.
To secure the wireless interfaces on each machine, can't I just apply encryption?

By security I meant general security from the Internet provided by the Router's NAT Firewall.

I did try this once and I agree with other posters, just get an Access point/router and do it correctly. My connection was EXTREMELY spotty and wasn't even worth trying for the most part. Not to say it's not a cool little trick to do if you are in need and don't have an AP though.
