I was wondering how do I know when the overclock of my processor start the not so slow decay process that usually last a few months...

any idea...

I hear that changing the voltage and high temperature really screw it up... but... can the overclock by it self be the murderer of the processor even if they have stock voltage and not so hot temperature...

That's correct.

No, electromigration doesn't happen, unless you add more vcore. Well, actually, electromigration happens anytime you're putting electricity through a CPU, but it doesn't happen at a faster rate, unless you're giving the CPU more Vcore.

Just push it until you see errata then back off some for a safety net and you should be ok.

Errata is errors in the printed specifications. I think you meant to say something else.

Yes, been through the OCing wars with Athlons. After a while it just gets easy.

Now a slot1 with a 100 buss....that's trouble! 550 -> 648 so far on air.
Need to re-SPD some Samsung 133 now (see if it will do CAS 1.5/100), then phase.

There are people with bigger budgets than I have doing QX9770, triple 9800GX2's, etc.. on LN2 and phase. Toasting slot1 CPUs is cheep! 550 -> 1ghz? ...maybe? And how many Hwbot points would that be?
