How to know the version of my USB port without opening the cabinet???

Plug in a known USB 1.1 device. If you don't get a message from Windows, then you can be pretty sure that your port is USB 1.1.

But, knowing what your mobo is would definitely ice it.

And like was said, Device Manager will also tell you.
