I agree with the 3 part, but personally can't find anything wrong with 2.

Negative.

T3 was what ruined it. T2 was better than T1.

Don't watch it and your perceived enjoyment of the original franchise will remain untarnished.

I wouldn't say T3 ruined it. Sure, it wasn't up to the other two, but it was still entertaining. T3 didn't add anything to the story or timeline, so it really had no point in being made, but at least they didn't totally screw it up (say, not having Arnold in it, etc.).

A TV series will definitely ruin it though, as would any more sequels.

"John, I'm a killing machine that has come back through time to be your dad. I love you my adoptive water bag son, even if your fleshy body is not impervious to small arms fire like my own."

It was a fun movie...but a piece of polished science fiction, it was not.

T3 openned up the possibilities of making a spin off Terminator movies... You don't need Arnold anymore.

Start the story line with the war against the machines starting, connor little older etc etc...

It exploited what made the other ones great by trying to be too funny.
The series was ruined as soon as Arnold put on the sunglasses.

Add incredibly cheasy sound effects (listen to the sound Arnold makes when he hits the firetruck or the sound the inflatable play area makes when the tacoma hits it) and Arnold saying "Talk to the hand", and you have a ruined series.
