At work I routinely create shortcuts in project directories to master files.
Windows comes in and randomly re-assigns the shortcuts to wrong files with different names in entirely different directories.
Example:
Shortcut I create is for T:\Work\Masterfiles\ProjectA.ext
The shortcut works for a while and then windows re-assigns it (Windows says it cannot find the original file and automatically re-assigns the shortuct.)
The shortcut is now for T:\Void\Oldprojects\Void ProjectC_Rev-7 Void.ext
Mind you the original file is still there in the same place.
This happens a lot and is very frustrating.
What is the fix for this?
