I have a AMD T. Bird 1Ghz socket a on a Asus A7v.... and i have taisol cek734 series.... and i have four 80mm case fans inside... here's the issue... the temperature rises up like crazy when it's stressed.... some said 50c is normal for a gigger proc, but i often hear it's too high.... and i would go for a sledgehog... (www.peltec.f2s.com) but.... it says i'll only get marginal benefit... i'd love to keep my proc down to under 15c ~ 20c.... and i know it's very very possible with peltier... any ideas on peltiers ... or any other ideas on NOT using peliter but to keep the proc at a low temp is super appreciated.... thanks!

The A7V is known to give out higher temperature readings due to its BIOS software that "simulates" the core temperature of the CPU. Infact, the thermister, like all Socket A motherboards is located under the CPU and measuring the relative air temperature. 50C is not considered high and just about normal temperature range for a Tbird at 1Ghz. Nothing to be too concerned about.

Peltiers don't do wonders! Infact, there is more at risk when you use them. Under my experience using peltiers on Tbirds, I can only suggest using peltiers more than 72watt output. I have a Hedgehog with Y.S tech fan with 2 peltiers to test with a) 55W Leufkins b) 72W Peltec. Under my tests, using the bare heatsink with Artic Silver(without the pelts) performed much better under full load RC5 & Prime95. There are much more problems with Peltiers as well, such as condensation under zero degrees and power consumption.
