The damn thing does not install because it can't get through Scandisk. I know there is a way to skip it, but how?

type `setup /?` and you'll get a bunch of options. You can skip the disk space and registry checks too.. I think it may be `setup /is`.

Not going through scandisk could mean a problem with your H.D. that needs investigating.
You can run setup with an /is switch to skip scandisk, but what I would do first is to try using a /ich switch. This will keep the scandisk screen visible so you can possibly see any errors.
If you get the O.S. installed I would immediately run scandisk with a full surface scan and also download and run the drive man.'s diagnostic utility on it.
Edit: Zach is right and first!

LOL, you should this guy's computer I am working on. He has original Windows 95 A version with FAT16. To make matters worse, he has 8.4GB anbd 13GB hard drives in it? That translates into so many freaking drive letters, it's not even funny. His CD-ROM is N: Drive. Nuts. What's even worse is that he has multiple copies of almost everything on his other drive letters. I found at least four copies of Windows and copies of copies of Windows on the same drive letter. Same goes with his other software, it's plain nightmare. Now I am supposed to upgrade it to Win 98SE which does not want to install because of the Scandisk issue. His hard drives are totally screwed up, he has wierd frekin' characters as filenames and they can't be fixed. What's even better is that he does not want me to format and reinstall. Just upgrade. Oh, what fun it is... Sorry for the vent...
