I recently purchased a C1000-2R 2x opteron 2.2 ghz CPU 4gb ram 120gb hd server

I am new to this stuff and didn't realize that it wouldn't have a cd-rom built in.

Can anyone explain to me how I can install Windows Server 2003 on this machine?

Easiest way - external USB optical drive. Other than that, you need ANOTHER windows server on the network to be able to install it remotely... to the best of my knowledge, at least.

this is what i ended up doing...popping the top and using a cdrom

i also had to dig out my floppy drive to get windows to recognize my sata controller

kind of a major pain

i just found the ethernet drivers by writing down the number on the chip but holy crap this has been a pain, i cant find documentation or figure our what "motherboard" this thing is
