how To Install OwnCloud on Linux

Hello Guys, I'm running the latest version of Ubuntu OS that is 'Ubuntu 16.04 LTS' and I wanted to install OwnCloud on it and followed this guide. I already have a LAMP stack installed on my Ubuntu but still I'm encountering few problems. I've downloaded the OwnCloud package and placed it into the Apache directory but still when I enter this command: # tar -jxvf owncloud-8.0.0.tar.bz2 it is unable to extract the archive and restarting the computer also doesn't work. Any help to make it working? Thanks.

Doesn't look like it from the link. Scroll to number 6.

Dunno... If you go to 13, they give an example using -j. I don't really use cli for archiving. I guess I'd have to play with it, and see what happens.
