Trying to make a digital picture frame out of an old laptop. It's got a floppy and ethernet port but how do I get linux onto it?
Also which linux distro would be the best for an OLD laptop? I need it to display jpgs slideshow style.

edit: Okay I figured out the software portion of if but I'm still having trouble installing linux :( I made a pcmcia boot disk but it's asking for a disk with device drivers  I think I gotta use something like this: http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net/ but where do I compile it? I'm trying to install redhat 6.2, can I compile them on redhat 9?

Another option is I can take the HD out of the laptop and user another laptop that does have a CD-ROM attached to it. But how would I install it?

Net installs should work fine. I do that on my p133 because it won't boot from the cd.
