Hi guys,

I never install NT 4.0 before. I have a 20GB drive, and I want to install NT4.0 without partitioning the drive. Is that possible? Coz when I tried to format the drive, it says that my HD is too big. Thanks!

GGrinch

Create a 2 GB partition with a DOS boot disk , install NT
NT will not recognize higher than 2 GB in its' "original" form , its actually a cylinder issue rather than a capacity one..
Update to SP 6a Use Disk Management to format the rest of the drive

If you want to get tricky you can ghost the original 2GB partition over the entire drive after you have installed SP6a ( or 4+ for that matter)

as above, install in a 2gb parition, ghost the partition, restore as a DISK and it'll fill the first 2 GB with ur data and extend the partition to a 20GB thus using the whole 20gb..

it's a bug on ghost's end but heck, I had 8gb nt4 partitions and done up to 18.1 gb, so I had it working for 2 years now.. it's a pain..
