It's been awhile since I did this so I want to make sure I do it right. I'm upgrading from a GF2 card to a GF4 card. I run the nvidia 30.82 drivers on my WinXP machine. I don't want to install the manufacturer's software, I just want to run off the 30.82's. I plan to:
1. Delete the GF2 from Device Manager and shut down the computer.
2. Uninstall the GF2 card and install the GF4.
3. Restart the computer.
When the computer recognizes the new hardware, what do I have to do to make sure that Device Manager will show that I have a GeForce4 Ti-4200 card. Thanks for refreshing my memory.
