I just can't figure out how to install a fan in the middle front of my p180b. I've been trying for over two hour before giving up. Perhaps I'm not doing it right so could anyone give me some pointers?
Anyways I just removed the HD bay and then tried putting the fan in there. It's kind of hard since there is a black piece of plastic blocking me from seeing the fan's side. I've then tried to hold the fan still while I screw it in from the front, but it is really hard to see the holes and keep the fan in position while it's being screwed. I'm also not sure my screws are even long enough though I can feel them poking out when I touch them without the fan.
I've tried a number of things to keep the fan in position while putting the screws in including using toothpicks to align the holes as well as string. It didn't work and I just can't think of anything that would. The black piece of plastic is really annoying so I have a feeling it may have something to do with my problems. Can someone with experience tell me what it's for and how to install this optional fan?
