Mac OS X comes with wide variety of fonts. In fact, it is one of the most defining aspects of the Mac. However, you can download more fonts and configure it to the system. Mac OS has, over the years, improvised the way you can download, preview, and enable new fonts in Mac. Here is a quick tutorial on how to install fonts in Mac OS X after you have downloaded it.
Step 1
Click ‘Downloads’
Click and open the ‘Downloads’ folder. It will show the list of recently downloaded files. Make sure, you have properly downloaded the font family. You can download free fonts from the websites like ‘Dafont’ etc.
Step 2
Click ‘Fonts File’
Browse through the list of downloaded files and double-click on the ‘Fonts File’. Consequently, a pop-up box will appear on the screen that will display the font family you have chosen.
Step 3
Click ‘Fonts File’
To the bottom-right corner, there is a tab named ‘Installed Font’. Navigate to the pop-up box and click on ‘Installed Font’. Consequently, the font gets configured to the system.
In this way, you can simply install any fonts that you have downloaded on your device.
