how to install Det3 drivers?

Hi All.

I went to NVIDIAs site and downloaded the latest detonator 3 drivers for my new Geforce2 GTS. But I'm totally sure what to do now.

There are two files there. One is a zip file which seems to contain the drivers. The other is a self-extracting EXE file which I have no clue of what it is. The release notes PDF don't say either.

Advice/explanation would be appreciated.

Use the self extracting file. They're both the same file.

i think you have the option of the .zip OR the self-extracting .exe. i installed the new det 3 drivers on someone's system earlier in the week, and i just ran the .exe. seemed to do the job. run it and reboot i'd say.

but yeah, the website SURE DOES NOT make it clear what needs to be done

Are you referring to the 6.50's? If not, you may want to download them, too.
