I just bought a dual cathode kit (which comes with the two cathode plugin box), and I'm trying to figure out how to plug that box into the rocker switch. There are those two prongs on the backside of the switch and I don't understand how the link to the box.

As far as I know they don't, you need to wire the switch to the hot side of the feed, or the pos side of your 12v power.

You make the switch break and connect the circuit..... it doesn't matter if it's the positive or ground/negative rail but you connect it such that the switch is on only one of the wires.
