I just received my Bazooka EL8A amplified sub tube today, but I'm not sure how to install it. :X The wire harness has the 2 RCA circles and like 6 wires. My cd player only has one orange wire free and the 2 RCS circles. What do I do? :-( I thought since it has a built in amp, all I do is connect the rca...

You would need to supply 12v power to it and a ground, left/right RCA and a remote turn on wire. You should have the remote turn on, and the RCAs on the CD player. The power/ground come from your battery.

The extra wires could also be so you can hook it up high level if you do not have RCA outputs on your cd player.

2 rcas go from deck to sub. 1 power wire goes from battery to tube, 1 ground wire is attached to metal in the trunk that provides a strong ground, 1 wire goes from sub to deck (remote wire).

That is if the amp on the tube is to be installed as a regular amp.

Have you tried the manual? Based on what you've said I would guess that you're supposed to run wires from the CD player to the sub to your speakers because the sub has a crossover built in.

you will have to get an amp installation kit if it didnt come with your sub. check wal-mart, they should have one for like $30

You will need an amp installation kit. You can get them at any car audio place. It should consist of some heavy gauge wire and fuse kit. You connect the + (red) of your car battery to it to the tube amp, the usually blue wire to the remote off the deck, the black to some metal in your trunk as a ground, and the rca plugs to the back of the deck. Most people that I know run the power lines down one side of the car and the rca wires on the other side.

from the types of questions you ask, i think you should let a pro install this. there is potential to start a fire in your car... the answer to your question is..YES you need a remote.. otherwise the amp would never turn on. it's the signal from your headunit to turn on the amp.. not a remote control

Serious. No offense, but it sounds like you don't know what you're doing. That's not a slam, just trying to save you from burning down your car or something bad like that.

Basically, you need these things to wire up an amp;
ground/power lines, which MUST be fused, no more than about a foot or so from the battery
RCA lines, which run the sound from the source to the amp
remote line, which tells the amp when to turn on or off

How much would it cost for a small shop to install it? I bought the install kit already...

Eesh! So expensive. :( Oh well..

I recently bought a new Alpine CDA-7874 CD Player, but it doesnt have RCA outputs for my bazooka amp. Will the install guys need something else?

there should be no install kit for a bazooka tube...I could do one of those in under a half hour if you lived close

My audio installer installed 2 wires from the battery... The red goes back to the sub but I have a white wire that got moved after I added another item under my hood. I know the white wire was part of the audio install because it is in the fuse connector with the red wire.

I have no idea where to connect it? I'm worried it will blow a fuse if I connect it to the fuse panel. IDEAS?

My sub blinks green and I'm certain it is not getting enough power. I am going to try to clean up the ground tomorrow to see if that is all that is wrong maybe but I would like to know where to connect this shorter white wire?
