i've been trying to find out how... and everytime i think i do it correctly, restart, and it still is not installed. i am on Ubuntu, with a radeon 9700 pro. i have gone to ati's website and downloaded the linux drivers. i type the following in the command line:
"sudo sh ati-driver-installer-8.20.8-i386.run" and the installer takes over, i follow the steps, and it's done. when i try to run fgl_glxgears in the command line the error reads:
"Using GLX_SGIX_pbuffer
Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".
X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request: 144 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 5 (X_GLXMakeCurrent)
Serial number of failed request: 30
Current serial number in output stream: 30"
any ideas as to what to do? i've been trying to run AA on linux...
