How to improve TV OUT pic?

I have created a media pc for myself, but the tv out TEXT wise, is a little blurry on the 53in tv projector SONY.

I have an ati all in wonder radeon, with WIN2K. I'm using SVIDEO

Any ideas how to improve the quality?

Well he is right text will always be blurry, but you can make it larger so that it is at least easier to read. I don't know how to do it for all OS's, but for XP and possibly others you right click the desktop, left click properties, then choose appearance, and at the bottom is a pull down menu for font size.

TV signal bandwidth is around 5 MHz. Computer generated fine print will never be readable there. Use a bigger font size.

I can't wait until the prices of PDP TVs plummet to the bottom. Over the weekend, I hooked up my notebook to one of my in-law's 60-in. PDP TV via a 15-pin monitor cable and everything was very clear just like a regular monitor (resolution was very high at 1280x1024). Watching a divx flick on it was a pure joy. Only problem is now I have to teach him how to play divx movies on this TV with his laptop, and he can barely turn on/off a computer.

I've read somewhere that s-video out is always limited to 480i (480 interlaced lines of resolution) so even if you set the desktop to a higher resolution, you're just downconverting it to 480i on the TV (and hence why it looks crappy). If you want good PC image quality on your TV and have a HD ready TV, I'd recommend getting the VGA/DVI to HDTV component adapter if you have a compatible ATI card or the Audio Authority VGA to Component adapter. I have the ATI adapter hooked up to my 8500LE and 43" Toshiba HD ready TV and the image quality is pretty damn good, text is readable and everything is just alot more sharp and defined.

S-Video is just a jack and cable. It doesn't care what kind of video you throw across it. The reason PC->S-Video-> looks like crap is 'cause SD (standard def) TVs are 640*480 and yer monitor is probably 2 or 3 times that res. Also colors appear brighter on a monitor than on a regular TV.
