Hi all

I have an android tablet (Acer A-100), and I would like to import the pictures and videos I took with the camera to my PC. Problem is, when I plug in the micro usb cable to my PC, it gives me no good way to choose what pictures to import. Also I have an SD card and have no idea if any of the camera pictures/videos are on that. Complicating matters is that I have Nook installed and subscribe to some magazines, so when it tell it to import pictures it finds all the pictures in the magazines as well and wants to import thousands of pictures.

Is there any way I can navigate the file system of the tablet and find/import just the pictures I want? Right now it is still searching for photos and has found 10,000 already.

Any help would be appreciated. I really find Android frustrating in a case like this.

Did you get a pop up from windows when you hooked up the usb cable?

Looks similar to this

Last option gives you a folder look of the device.

Yes, I got a view like that. I did use the option to upload or something like that with windows media player I think. That took me to a tree to view and decide what files to upload, but it was so slow and locked up when trying to work from the tablet. I ended up saving all of the pictures to my computer, and I will go in and manually delete the unwanted ones. Unfortunately because every page of a magazine is viewed as a photo, there are more than 12,000 "photos" uploaded, probably less than a few hundred that are really pictures. Damn I hate android. It would have been so easy with windows on the tablet.

To the other posters, thanks for the advice about the file explorer programs. Perhaps I will try them. I did upload some free file explorer, and it didnt do jack. I could see folders, but there was (or at least appeared to be) nothing in them.

Can't you order the files by "date created" in Windows explorer? That should be quick...
