It only makes sense when you're relating each post-3rd dimension in terms of 3 dimensional relationships. Otherwise, you couldn't explain these without mathematical proofing.

Read "The Elegant Universe" by Brian Greene. He does the best with explaining M-theory in plain english. It's a great book for introduction to the subject.

Wait, then. Isn't it possible that there are more dimensions beyond the tenth, where logic is different and basic mathematical laws are different? Aka, 1+1 = 3 somewhere?

Yes. This is called quantum theory... it is based on the world of the VERY small. The properties of physics need a different type of measuring at these levels... hense Quantum Physics.
