Hi! I hope I find you well.

So now I will get right to my question!
Is there a good way to log or monitor the HDMI signal output from a graphics card?
Before it reaches the TV so I can identify if my black screen in random intervals is caused by the PC or the TV.

Specs:

Windows 10.
Samsung TV 24'' TD391 (3 or 4 years old).
CPU Intel i5 3.2 Ghz.
Asus gtx 970 strix.
Resolution: 1080p.
Plugged in with a ups.

-------------------------------------------------

Full explanation ahead! You don't have to read it.

I have black screen for 1 second in random intervals sometime maybe it will take days or even months to happen again (when I do lightweight work to the pc for example When I open IrfanView which it has black background maybe it has something to do with it I don't know).
What I really want to do is if this happen again and I notice it, to identify if this is caused by the PC or the TV.

I noticed it recently for the first time, maybe it happened in the past too but I didn't pay so much attention.
When this happens I get the resolution info like when I change source or turn the TV on.
I tried a new HDMI cable but it happened again today.
Can someone who did troubleshooting to his monitor or tv to give me his lights of wisdom please? Did you use some kind of equipment to measure the HDMI signal and determine the source of the issue?
I want to prepare for the case I will need to buy new tv or gpu or something else! :)
Do I have to get a capture box or a splitter and connect a second monitor and watch for when it will happen again? Is there an other, better or a right way to do this?

edit: I forgot to mention, in event viewer I get no messages or warnings about that and I didn't do any updates.

Thank you;)

Yes I think that switching HDMI ports is the next step in troubleshooting your issue. Hopefully it will prove your issue.

Thanks for your answer! You are right. Now I will sound so stupid but I didn't tried the other HDMI port because in the other port is the PlayStation connected and I never had any problem with it but I rarely use it nowadays.
This is the best way to diagnose it? Switching HDMI ports and wait? :(
If I plug the PC in the other HDMI port on the TV and it does it again how I will know if the source of this "bug" was the TV or the PC?
Is caused in random and for no reason. Maybe it will happen today or it will take months (the agony will eat me till then!). If it happens again in the future how I will know for sure if the signal was interrupted before it reached the HDMI port on the TV?
Thank you again for your response man.

Edit: I almost accepted there is something wrong with the TV and I will probably go and get a new better one before this one fails. It's driving me mad and I am not sure is worth it.
