I have a PERC 6i SAS controller with 4 seagate 500GB 2.5" SATA Momentus drives on a RAID 5 array in a 4-drive backplane cage http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817994095
One of the drives just failed.
I have installed Dell SAS RAID Storage Manager. It shows 4 drives are on the RAID, the first one is #17 (drive numbers were from 17 to 20) but each was assigned a SAS address, which is different from drive serial#.
Each drive tray's LED is on, how can I identify which drive is the one that has failed?
Thanks.

Apparently the disk is not dead. After using import foreign config in PERC BIOS, the array is rebuilding itself. Still don't know how to match SAS address to disk serial#
