I was recently banned on guru3d, the short of it is that I commented on someones post, and offered my own opinion and reasoning too, not rudely in my opinion. Anyway, someone else took exception and threatened me, I then posted back asking why he thought I was a troll and why he threatened me over something so trivial (besides the fact a physical threat doesn't really work in forums). He continued to flame me, again I asked what his problem is and offered more reasoning on my original post.
Someone then told me to quit it and take it up in PM, I thought it was someone else butting their nose in so I again posted, asking for this other guy to answer me, how was it I was a troll (particularly as I earlier in the thread answered the poll and laid out my answers, very un-troll like) and how I flamed him (when he flamed me).
This then caused me to get a ban for ignoring a MOD's warning, however I was not aware this chap was a MOD, I of course can not get back on at the moment to see if his profile says he is.
Now, I don't intend on repeating the same here, I had been a member at Guru since 2002 and it was my first warning/ban, but I would like to know how you are supposed to ID a MOD, looking at a couple on here (that I think are MODs), there is nothing to say they are a MOD, how do you tell?
