How do I get the games folder back in Windows 8? I'm not talking about Games Explorer, but the Games folder like it was under All Programs in Windows 7. I have Start is Back installed but it didn't give me back the Games folder like Windows 7 has it set up. I manually created a Games folder under All Programs in the Start Menu and the problem with that is that no game I install automatically create a shortcut there and I end up manually moving my game desktop shortcuts to that folder and in the Start Screen under All Applications it has some games listed twice. Is there a way to get back the Games folder in the Start Menu in Windows 8 or is it not in Windows 8? Also Start8 would not give me back the normal Games folder under All Programs in the Start Menu.

The Games folder is somewhat weird. It's a special folder that doesn't behave like a folder, but more like a special case application. In any case on Windows 8 the easiest way to access it is to run "shell:games" in Explorer. Or you can create a shortcut that executes "explorer.exe shell:games" and put that where you'd like it.

That exact (berryracer's screen captures) program is linked at item #3 of the author's initial post, found at the link in my previous post.
