Quake 2 and 3 look pretty good to me. Of course not quite as sharp as on the monitor, but this particular computer is in my family room and I have no place to put a monitor. The TV is it's only display.
Plus I get more than decent frame rates at 800x600 with the Rage Fury Pro, even with 32 bit color.
I think DVD output from that card looks as good as a first-generation set-top DVD player. I have a Toshiba set-top player, too, and the Rage Fury looks just as good on my 35" JVC TV.
