Pin 1 to the power connector? Do you have any Idea how many floppies can be fried with that comment? 😛 That's for IDE devices, but virtually half of all floppies are non-standard in orientation because the pin1-to-power "standard" doesn't exist for floppies! What really makes me mad is products like these: I find a floppy at the A+ class I took years ago, & it's not a keyed connector, doesn't have pin1 or 34 labeled, no distinctive "notch" mark or anything, so the only option is to connect because obviously, without a labeled pin1 it should be one of the many "tolerant" floppy drives that you simply have to reorient the cable, & sure enough, it fries it's self. Any engineer stupid enough to purposly not label it should make sure his product can survive this when half the labeled ones can!
