I just purchased/instlaled a SMC Cable Router. I cannot get it to work with my Epson Stylus 740 Color Printer >>
Two items from the
SMC website that may be of interest. Check the website FAQs for more info:
General Print Sharing Problems
Q: My printer is X brand model Y. I cannot successfully share this printer.
A: The drivers of some printers use bi-directional mode or other ad-hoc methods.
These drivers are not compatible with the driver of the print server on the
Barricade. In order to share these types of printers, you must configure the
drivers of the printers:
Disable bi-directional mode
Force the driver to use local spool
If the above settings do not work, you may try to use the compatible printer drivers contained in the Windows CD-ROM. These drivers do not use the ad-hoc methods.
