Picked up my leather coat today at the dry cleaner and it wasn't clean, Here is the situation:
I'll start with my mistake,
I hand my ticket to one lady and while she goes and gets my coat, I pay another (about $35).
I get my coat back as the second lady hands me my change.
While I am still in the store, I examine my coat. And honestly, if it wasn't for the ID labels that were pinned to my coat, I would have never of known that my coat was cleaned at all. I pointed out the two most glaring spots on the coat, its a black leather coat and the spots are mostly just white dirt spots.
The first thing the lady says is, 'Whats wrong'. I reply 'the coat wasn't cleaned' She offers to send it back to their leather cleaner and I ask how long it was going to take. She tells me three to four weeks. Having already waited a month for my favorite coat in the middle in winter I wasn't willing to send it back so I asked for my money back. The lady acted confused and again offered to send it away. Frustrated I took my coat and my receipt and left.
Then I get home, and notice two more spots on the coat that were blatantly missed (for a total of four).
So now I need to decide on a course of action.
I was thinking a letter to the owner, threating a complaint to the Better Business Bureau if this problem isn't corrected.
I'd give them a week and then complain to the better business bureau.
I know its only thirty-five bucks but that's half my weekly budget.
Any other suggestions?
