How to guides for patch cables and patch panel?

Does anyone know of any good guides for patch cable making and patch panel punching? Ive networked many a computer before but Ive never made my own cables or punched them into a patch panel before. Ive found a few guides on the net, but most of them suck.
 
I'm in the process of writing one to put on my site, unfortunately it wont be done until next week b/c i'm going on vacation 😀
