How to go about life, when you are in the midst of depression and problems:

1. Pray for God?s will and seek it.
2. Suffer, when His will is not what you wanted it to be, and is causing you to go through immense pain instead.
3. Don?t act surprised when God doesn?t make things easier,
4. You aren?t off the hook until your deathbed, until then expect a very very hard life, until then God will put you through whatever he feels necessary to accomplish his will, even if it means unfathomable pain.

5. Note that: God is a more like a really hard track coach, not your good ol' friendly friend.

6. God will not guide you; He?d rather have you flounder about on your own, *sarcasm* that way you can experience the sickening feeling when you are in pain and can?t find your cure. */sarcasm*
7. God will provide your needs, that is, unless He wants you to die or suffer (or be in lack of) for some unknown reason that you may never know.

8. God?s will may be for you to be a missionary, go into another country, be alone, be hungry, be hated, be persecuted, suffer immensely when other people torture you and cause you to die in a long a painful process.
And He may have you live through a childhood up until that point that is difficult as well.

9. Know that God?s will is going to take a lot of hard hard unrelenting work.

10. Know that God will rarely tell you what?s going on, rarely give you a firm indication about anything, probably won?t heal you, probably won?t help you, and rarely do anything for you, but rather let you stick it out on your own.

11. But just keep praying for God?s will to be done, because it?s not like His will wouldn?t get done anyway, He needs you to pray for it to happen in order for it to happen, because it?s not like He would do this on His own.

I stopped believing in God.

Now I sort of believe, but realize that my path is my own. Honestly, the greatest gift I can give to that which made me, if possible, is my maturity and success in life.

Suffrage is only part of the process.

How about just taking personal responsibility for your position in life and getting the resolve to do something about it. God (or gods, if you're inclined) has nothing to do with it.

If you are severely depressed, seek professional help and you may require medication to treat. Again, some so-called omnipotent, supernatural being has nothing to do with it.

Note:

I still believe in God, I just think sometimes life can really be a pain in the butt, and He could be a little more considerate about what He lets us go through.

i guess this is more of a rant than anything else.

how was that a "complaining" post? sounded more like a "this is what should be done" post which would no doubt result in some atot pyrotechnics.....right?

you f@gs, you just ruined my complaining post

Don't post about God here. We religious people are outnumbered 90:1 here, and you're just giving them a chance to act like the morons they are. They thrive on it.

Try not believing for a while...then maybe you can relish in the joy of just living a good and respectful life.

Atheism...tastes great....less guilt. ;)

No man knows the mind of G-d. We are not capable of fathoming His infinite wisdom. This is why you must have faith. If life were easy and you could find the answer to everything there wouldn't be much point to life, would there?

Just don't force your atheism on people, you become what you despise if you do.

I'm doing as much as I can about it, times a time and a half, and God isn't chipping in at all.

Ever give some thought to the fact that your life sucks because it sucks, and not because "God" or "Satan" are out there making it suck?
