How to give Remote Desktop priority bandwidth over everything else?

I have a CRM server running on a remote site. It's a windows small biz server, so I only have 2 remote desktop accounts. Anyways, sometimes the connection gets slow due to the mainframe being in Germany, as bandwidth between the crm server and germany takes a lot of bandwidth. Is there a way to give priority to RD over all other bandwidth consuming applications so that I can connect and perform tasks quicker?

Many thanks.

it runs on port 3389, so i suppose you could give traffic on that port precedence.

Well I know that, but I don't know how to give precedence to it :) I am not an IT guy, I am the C/ERM guy :) Thanks though.

You yourself most likely can do nothing.*
The changes would have to be made on the switch/router the server is connected to.

*This assumption was made due to your statement "I am not an IT guy" :)

Yes, its my private server in the sense that it only hosts the solution that my department uses. In other words, I am the only one uploading/downloading data from this server, and I have full access to it. I am just not technical enough :)

It would depend if the internet provider supports QOS on your service and the router you are using.....
