If you think that is funny, you need to check out some older HotRod Magazine articles like:Originally posted by: iamme
lol, without even reading anything and just looking at the pics, it's funny as hell
Thats my fav too... so many a ricer and redneck have no clue how backpressure worksOriginally posted by: Legendary
"The most obvious free horsepower mod is to remove the exhaust. This makes the engine extremely loud and, as you know, noise equals power."
LOL

What, are you going to say that you need backpressure for low-end torque?Originally posted by: LAUST

Backpressure (on streetable cars) is necessary to stop reversion or at least used to an advantage.Originally posted by: Eli

I don't think you want any backpressure.. isn't a straight pipe going to give you the best power numbers at any rpm?
If there is backpressure, that means the engine is using energy to push the exhaust gasses out, and that is bad.
I also have trouble understanding the "backpressure" issue. I'd think that tuned headers with no mufflers would produce the most power out of any given engine.Originally posted by: Iron Woode

Is there a site that I could visit that explains all this?
Thanks!
