how to get XP's working in a Dual system and dual system questions

here r the specs of the machine i will be making:

Mobo: Tyan Tiger MPX s2466 http://tyan.com/products/html/tigermpx.html
CPU: Dual Athalon XP 1600+
Maxtor 60gb HD
Maxtor 80gb HD
Western Digital 80gb HD with 8mb cache
internal zip drive
floppy drive
DVD drive
CD drive
2 burners

Question 1:
i was planing on going with 2 MP 1600+ but my friend says that i can save alot of money by buying XP instead and just connecting the L5 bridges. that is my main question, how to connect thoes bridges.

Question 2:
im still not sure what PWS to get. the same guy suggested that i go with a linkworld 400W:

i was thinking of going with an Antec 510W which is made especially for athalon MP systems:

Linkworld PWS form Hot deals. ( 180 watt 3.3 + 5v combined )
I was thinking of going with an Antec 510W which is made especially for athalon MP systems:
This one 510 watts ( 200 combined 3.3 + 5v )

Linkys fixed 'cause I am a nice guy. 😀
 
The 510-watt Antec ONLY works with the Tyan K7 Thunder (S2462) motherboard. The connector is proprietary and will not work with any other board. All other dual processor AMD boards, including the Tyan Tiger MPX, use a standard powersupply.

If you are going XP1600's, your L5 bridge may or may not be cut. If it is, you will have to reconnect it. Here are the instructions.

but do you know of another site with the instructions on connecting the bridges? the one you gave me, the pictures never load, so i have no idea what its talking about.
 
Your taking pot luck with any XP proccessor , just as I did with my 1.3ghz Durons (they worked fine) .

Your better off heading over to 2cpu.com forums where they have a wealth of information on the subject.
