A couple of years ago I was booted from ebay because a guy paypaled me a large sum to send for something he wanted to buy off me. Somehow paypal antifraud got involved and locked my account. I was asked for a tracking # for the item I sold but I didn't want to ship it because they the locked account wouldn't let me access the funds. In any case the seller and I settled everything out of ebay/paypal and everything went well..however ever since then my ebay account has been suspended. Does anyone know of anyway for me to get unsuspended from ebay as I'd like to sell some items? Or would the best just be to have someone make an account for me?

1) Sold stuff on ebay for years.
2) Sold stuff using paypal outside of ebay for decent sum of money. (high end audio)
3) paypal account frozen for "being suspicious" cause I made a new account jsut for the sale of high end audio.
4) ebay suspended cause of paypal account "suspicion"
5) i want my ebay back

Don't commit fraud next time maybe?

Don't be so quick to judge. It's well known that paypal randomly seize funds if they detect an unusual transaction.

E.g. if you sell a lot of $20 trinkets, but then sell a $1000 laptop. You can expect paypal to block your account for 30 days (as part of their anti-fraud policy). During that time, you will have no access to the money. Your account will only be reactivated 30 days after the buyer confirms receiving the item.

If you don't send the item, then your account will be permanently blocked for 'fraud'.

OP, you might want to post cliffs. not because your post is too long, but simply because it might help people understand what you are trying to say.

Regardless of what you did just write/call them and ask to have your account reinstated.

That fake account crap can be more trouble than it's worth.

illegal to complete transactions outside ebay, duh?

ask to sell with someone else.

Wow. You are an idiot. First of all, if I order from Newegg and pay with PayPal, which I can do, you're saying that they're violating eBay's Terms of Service even though the transaction had nothing to do with eBay except that eBay owns PayPal? Who knew? I guess all the trades going on here in the Anandtech forums are illegal too. Second, against TOS/contract does not equal "illegal." It just means that they can do whatever the contract says they can do when you do that (within the law, of course), like terminate an account.
