I wish I woulda been there to stop that fight and kicked that guys butt. That white kid didnt have a chance he must have weighed 140. Hope that video was used later on for legal action. He made his point but when he wouldnt let up at the end - that is a just a dickwad trying to be cool to his friends. GRRRRR makes me angry.

LOL, then you obviously didn't see the last part of the clip when the other guys were clowning him.

He looks like Herman Munster afterward.

I watched the whole thing and they show the close up as his walks away. I have seen a lot worse in real life. He got his ass kicked like 5 times, and wasn't even bleeding profusely.

And it does bother me a little bit that they guy was still kicking his ass even though he was pinned. The guy should have given him a chance to get up and see if he wanted more.

I agree with you.

The last one was bad. it looked like he was going to apologize or something when the guy grabbed his arm and then took him down and started beating him.

but then again the kid shouldnt have been out during a tournement that he was NOT in.

It shouldn't matter if it is a tournament or not, because the beach is public and anyone should be allow on it, unless those tournament guys have a permit. If they have a permit, police and official would be out there to stop the violation & violent. This just goes to show that the surfers & their organization is a bunch of violent bums.

Yup. That's an excellent reason to beat someone up.

We have a winnar! If the closure of the beach was really legitimate, the police should have handled this.

a lot of cluelessness going on in here...

Apparently this was a contest, the 'referee'/lifeguard/whatever was trying to tell this guy he could not surf in the area...the guy basically didn't give two craps and was going to wait for waves anyway.

Next a competitor Kainoa (a bodyboarder) came out to tell him to get the f out, which the kid told him to piss off as well....then he got schooled in how 'pros' can do more than just 'surf' in the water.

There is a lot about this Here...here is another...

The second beating was also not just 'instigated' like many think, that kid came back to talk crap and justify why he should have been ok.

There was no real 'gang' beating, however, those that know about surfing, heck even rollerblading / skateboarding know if locals ask you to leave and you don't chances are ALL of those locals are going to beat the piss out of you.

And you have to be a REAL idiot to beat up someone, get them in a pin and then let them up and ASK have they had enough....it's not 'point' sparring/boxing, it's removing a problem. You let many guys walk away easy and stay in that same area, chances are they are going to try and get a jump on you thinking they almost had you the first time.

You can get really beat up bad, to basically almost unconscious and not look that bad sometimes. That guy got rocked by a few of those hits.

It doesn't matter if the beach was closed or not, the kid was probably being a dick about wanting to surf there. Yes, the beach is public, but I bet he could have found somewhere else to surf. Why did he need to crash their spot, he could see they were having a competition.

It's not unusual for surfers to gang up on guys that aren't local. It wasn't any kind of tournament... just some punks hassling someone they didn't know. Classic gang punk mentality.
