I have my sub in my trunk and the carpet is not attached, so whenever im driving semi-aggressively the damn sub slides around and ends up breaking its connection with my amp... how do i stop it from sliding around my trunk?

2X4s nailed to the box that extend past the edge of the box to each side and to the back

mount amp ONTO box

I would try velcro patches on both surfaces.

That stuff never works, I used to try that with my jeep carpet. Get an industrial strength adhesive in a tube (looks like silicone) or use a hot glue gun. Of course, that will make it pretty permanant.

Either that or some sort of adhesive or bonding agent..

Your subwoofer will still slide around until it is connected as well..I'd recommend the bungee cord for this..

A dead body should weight down the carpet and keep it from sliding around. Of course the dead body will start rotting and you will need to keep replacing it. You could use a live body, but you have to feed those periodically, lest they turn into a dead body and start rotting. This has the advantage of not being permanent, so if you need to remove the carpet to get at something underneath, you just have to lift the body off of it and you are good to go, unlike if you glue the carpet down. Of course, bodies in trunks can be difficult to explain if you ever get pulled over by the cops.

some self tapping machine screws and the appropriate sized washers ought to do the job. Might be a good idea to seal them though since you could be drilling through the floor to exposed surfaces
