How to get the best sound output from an Audigy2?

I usually use winamp to play my songs with the 24 bit depth set. Is 16 bit depth and 44khz sampling rate good or is there some good resampler that I can use?

I don't know about a good resampler but one thing you can do to make the sound better is turning up the treble in the advanced settings on windows audio control. It made my klipsch speakers sound twice as good.

I know this wasn't what you were after but no one else replied. 🙂 Depending on your speakers you probrably won't hear any diff by using 24 bit depth.

Well you can get Windows Vista if you dont already have it. They fixed all that was wrong with the audio paths in XP. Made more than a huge difference for my x-fi elite pro. I can't believe the sound I'm getting out of it.

Anyway for now and something that is free you can get foobar2000 and use asio drivers. (or kernel streamer). That way it bypasses most of the problems in xp. (Vista still sounds a lot better than that though)

If you are already on Vista then ignore all this.

Audigy2's have no audio problems in Windows XP.
