I was just wondering if Premier Elements has the capability to support plugins.. and if there are any that allow you to add that film/cinema-quality look to your DV clips?

Thanks!

I'm referring to nearly any Hollywood (and even independent) film. Just go watch a movie. I don't know how else to explain it. It's 35mm fim running at 24fps, and it has that "film" look to it. As opposed to the look of a home video, or even some TV shows (like Curb Your Enthusiasm).

I doubt there is such a thing, or at least not one that really works all that well. (But if there is, I'd love to hear about it!)

It might be possible to simulate the more subdued color spectrum of film with color manipulation, but the big problem (I believe) is the emphasized edge constrast that video adds whenever a bright area is adjacent to a dark area on the screen. Film doesn't have this effect, and removing the effect in any sort of a convincing fashion from existing video would not seem to me to be an easy task.

I think that has a lot more to do with the quality of the cameras
