Let them soak in wd-40. Spray them and rub the stuff into it till it becomes see through and pull off wall and door.

Heat em up with a hair dryer on hot. Should peel off. Clean off residue with solvent.
Nail polish remover should work, but be careful, it will melt certain plastics.

If you happen to have a lot of citrus fruit on hand, you can take the peel, and squeeze it (by folding it inward) to extract the oils from the skin. Same stuff as in goo gone. Takes a lot of citrus or a small sticky spot though.

rubbing alchohol will also work just as well...then scrub with a damp cloth...

personally i hate goo gone, it only peels paint and ruins carpets...its like the "man i just went to home depot (which i only do once a year but ill act like i go everyweek) and bought this stuff product" is you know what im saying...

 Citrus-oil based cleaner was used for cleaning tar, etc. out of carpet probably long before the brand "goo-gone" came about - certainly before it became popular. It will certainly stain latex based paint depending on the substrate and type of paint, but I've never seen it peel paint. Are you sure you aren't thinking of Goof-Off?
