Hi guys,
I've been using my SMC 7008BR router for quite a while now, using DMZ since I can't otherwise run Kazaa, WinMX and other file sharing programs properly. I've read guides on the ports to forward, and I've tried forwarding them, but they didn't work. So, does anyone else own a 7008BR and got these 2 programs to work?
Currently my WinMX is set to listen to port 16699 for incoming TCP connections and port 16257 for outgoing UDP packets. Kazaa Lite is set at the default port 1214 for incoming connections. emule is using clientport 4662 and udp port 4672.
Under my router settings "Virtual Server", I've set the following settings, but they don't work
Service Port . . . . . Server IP . . . . . . . .Enable
16699 . . . . . . . . . 192.168.123.112 . . Yes
16257 . . . . . . . . . 192.168.123.112 . . Yes
4672 . . . . . . . . . . 192.168.123.112 . . Yes
4662 . . . . . . . . . . 192.168.123.112 . . Yes
Should I be setting the port forwards under "Virtual Server" or "Special AP"? What EXACTLY are the settings I should use?
