How to get Secondary Drive to DMA 5?

Hello all, I can not figure this one out.

Specs:
Dell 400SC
Windows XP (SP2)
512 RAM
Primary Drive -- 40 GB (Came with machine) -- DMA 5
Secondary Drive -- 160 GB Seagate (Installed After) -- DMA 2

I have checked in the BIOS, and put all the settings appropriately. I really don't know what else to try.

Any programs, or updated drivers I could use to force it? I looked all over the Seagate site, and didn't find any USEFUL utilities.

Thanx.

What happens if you only have the second drive plugged in? Swapping the master and slave drives around? What about trying it in a different system?

Does it show up as DMA 5 in another machine or on the secondary channel?
Try deleting the channel in Device Manager and letting windows reinstall it.
