I have recenty purchased this monitor and cannot get the refresh rate to go over 75hz in 1280x1024 tho it is supposed to go upto 80hz. I have an ASUS 7700 Geforce 2 Ti display card.

I would appreciate any suggestions how to get the refresh rate to 80hz.

I run an AMD 2000+ CPU on a Soltek DRV2 MoBo and have tried running WinXP Pro as well as WinME with the same result.

Make sure your OS has identified the monitor as Samsung 955DF and has the appropriate .inf file for it.

Yes the driver from the CD has identified the Monitor correctly.

I searched for reforcel but found no references. Can you please give me a link for this software.

For XP Try -

Control Panel > Display > Settings > Advanced > Monitor > Uncheck "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display" > Apply > OK > OK

I have this monitor too and I run it at 1280X960 @75hz on a GF3.

So its safe if I uncheck "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display" and raise it to 85hz?

I have an Acer 19" Monitor at home and I have the "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display" unchecked. I am running my monitor at 100hx instead of the 85hz it recomended.
