How to get rid of "wireless network connection not found" bubble on system tray

I have a Dell 600m with windows xp pro and dell internal wireless

when i am not in wi fi zones every now and then the windows wireless lan adapter icon in my system tray displays one of its typical "wireless connection not connected"

how can i get rid of this?

i have gotten into the properties and unchecked:
-show the icon in the taskbar when there is a connected
-notify me when there is little or no connection

i even deselected "let windows control my wireless connection"

anyone else have this annoying problem?

sp2 dosnt fix anything. I to hate this, every time one of my many apps created a bubble, I have to click it manually otherwise it stays for years. I've tried many "display system pop up messages" and nothing toggles it.
