Ok...to simplify things...

1) download and run this registry edit http://www.xdrive.com/share/984302397068jJ8oAbUROfxhSPELhgzu

2) delete/rename
icqateima32.dll
icqateimg32.dll
icqateres.dll

3) download http://www.xdrive.com/share/984257493440GvKiWV0z0y6xXcpGXETM

4) open icqcore.dll in the program

5) in the Dialog folder, find 2503 and open that. You'll see a pic of the dialog box come up.

6) find something like CONTROL "", 1066, "{9F9012BA-E55B-11D3-ADE7-0090270D8F00}",0x50000000, 1, 158, 260, 38 near the bottom

7) change the last 2 numbers to 0

8) note the 3rd number...in this case 158. add 1 to this number, so this would be 159

9) goto first line of editor to find 2066 DIALOGEX 0, 0, 262, 196

10) change last number to new computed number, in our case, 159

11) Hit Compile Script button near top

12) repeat 5-11 for menu items
2566
2503
2507
2511
2512
2513
2514
2543
2560
2566
4501

save and you're done...i think this's what i did. thanx to SonOfZeuz and others who put this together

If you're lazy, here's a copy of my icqcore.dll...I have icq 2000b 4.63 #3279...icqcore.dll is version specific (i think) http://www.xdrive.com/share/984257186688RbfK5jstWKm2Hwjo6fKW

one more thing...will somebody host the 2 files for me? xdrive only keeps things for 7 days. Thanx.

Jay

Here

Log in anonymously
then go to the anonymous folder
then download the ICQhack.zip file
there is a readme.txt file for viewing

Warning: The file is only to be used with the latest version of ICQ. Use it at your own risk.

I hope Arkos Reed (person posting in Radboy's link) and SonofZeuz are one and the same, otherwise this guy's getting all of Son's and other's credit for work done here.
