Hi

well i just got my 2405fpw and am impressed. it is friggen huge. one thing though, i am trying to watch some dvd's in windows media player, when i clcik on fullscreen, it does so, but there is a boarder around the screen about 2 inces or so. how do i make it so that the image is as large as possible on the screen. i realize that if the W x H ratio is different than the screen, there will be black bars on the sides or top and bottome, but there the boarder goes all the way around the video, it should be a ble to go larger.

thanks for any help

Yup, I know how hard it is to get rid of those deadbeat boarders... ;) You know that thread titles are editable here?

in the monitor settings, set it to "stretch" or "aspect ratio". or adjust your PC's resolution to the full 1920x1200

On a side note, anyone have a suggestion for a better DVD player? Using Power DVD right now, it's awright I suppose. :)

Keep in mind that the 2405FPW is a 16:10 display, and most feature films these days are 16:9 (or even wider, like 1.85:1 or 2.35:1 ARs). Such content will still be letterboxed even on a 'widescreen' display (just not nearly as badly as they would be on a 4:3 monitor).

With WMP9, when you put it in 'fullscreen' mode (by hitting alt+Enter or double-clicking on the video while it is playing), there shouldn't be anything around the video. Make sure you have it set to hide or autohide the menu bars.
