How to: Get rid of Synchronization Manager once and for all?

I keep seeing mobsync.exe in my startup (in the registry) and everytime I delete it, it keeps coming back. I tried to disable synchronization in IE5.5 settings and it still keeps coming back. I tried renaming any file that has 'mobsync' in it. Probably it doesn't really load since I changed the names, but I really have this need to get it out of my startup. Does anyone know how to do this?

I am running Win2k SP3 and IE5.5.

Try installing msconfig.exe from a copy of XP (it is backwards compatible with Windows 2000) running it and then unchecking mobsync.exe from the startup tab.
