Its very annoying and stupid little zaps hurt. I have carpeted floors but a friend of mine who has wooden floors also has same problem so it can't be the carpet.

Is there a spray that I can use to get rid of static? Any other simple solutions?

I would rather not rub fabric softner sheets.

The static will probably stop once the warm, humid weather arrives. In the meantime, try a humidifier in the room.

I think humidifier and hidden wire sounds like a good idea. Hopefully I won't have to make any holes for the wire.

Is mirofiber the same as Ultra Suede? We have an U.S. sofa that never shocks us. The carpet on the other hand, dear lord, you can build up enough electricity to power a light bulb.

Option 1) Rub dryer sheets over the couch.

Option 2) Dilute liquid fabric softener in a spray bottle. Spray all over the couch and floor.

Option 3) Buy static guard made for clothes. Spray all over.

These options work great for vehicles too.
