How to get rid of mixer.exe ?

I don't want to delete the C-Media drivers, I just dont want to have to exit the mixer.exe when I boot up. How can I get rid of it or at least disable it without disabling the sound driver ?

Is it listed under the Startup tab in MSCONFIG? (ie, type MSCONFIG into the Run box). If Mixer.exe is listed, just uncheck the box and it shouldn't load during startup.
