When I was making some food a few days ago I had to chop up some garlic and my hands still stink like it. No matter how many times I wash them.... what makes the smell go away?

wash your hands with tomato paste, sauce, or take a slice of tomato and squish it around in your hands. The acid in the tomatos break down the scent this also works if you get sprayed by a skunk.
